Being the Youtube junkie that I have become, I have accumulated plenty of clothes, shoes and beauty products that my favorite gurus have convinced me are absolute must haves. Not me personally, but through hauls and reviews I'm always adding new items to my wishlist. Some of my favorite items that I have hauled over the years are my prized Canon cameras and accessories. I currently own the Cannon 60D that came with a kit lens, a Canon 50mm lens to take cool pictures and videos with depth of field and my beloved Canon Powershot Elph 320 HS.
I purchased my Canon 60D with the kit 15-135mm lens for $1200 (plus tax) from Best Buy almost 2 years ago. The only con to this camera for me is that it does not feature a continuous auto focus option. This makes it difficult to know if you are in focus throughout the duration of recording a video or taking your own professional pictures where you are your own camera (wo)man as well as the talent in front of the lens.
A way that Canon makes up for this feature is the editing software that come with the camera. The combination of apps included on the Eyecup, EOS Solutions Disk are perfect for connecting your camera directly to your computer and having the option to start, stop and focus your camera without having to move from your filming position to adjust the camera.
Some of my favorite accessories for my DSLR camera are my 2 tripods (1 desktop and one 60" floor tripod), 2 memory cards (16 GB and 32 GB), a remote, and my beloved 50mm lense. This lens cost $100 (plus tax) and is the perfect starter lens for creating depth of field. I plan to use this lens for recording beauty videos and taking awesome photography shots of my baby boy as he grows over the years.
Last but not least, my Canon PowerShot Elph 320 HS was purchased from Best Buy for about $150 (plus tax). Although I have yet to put this camera to the test, this camera is hands down the most used vlogging camera among my favorite vloggers so I know it will be perfect for me and my family.
I will keep you all posted as I learn my way around my Canon Suite of photography!
